Regulations of "Exposing
the Museums in Macao" Digital Videography Competition
1. Objectives
To
promote the International Museum Day, and encourage the Macao
citizens to participate in the museum-related activities, foster
videography lovers ardor for DV creation and improve their camera
work, “Exposing the Museums in Macao” Digital Videography
Competition is being held.
2. Theme
The
main theme of the competition is the museums in Macao. The materials
can be the museums’ appearance, interior facilities, their
exhibitions, etc. Products should be sensuous and present the
characteristics of each museum. The style of the products is
unrestricted. However, the content should be healthy and not against the law and the virtuous mores.
3. Entry Conditions
Whoever
is interested is welcome to join.
4. Prizes

5. Technical Requirements
The
length of the video should be between 8 to 10 minutes. All the
products should be shot with digital video camcorders, using mini DV
tapes or DV tapes. Since all submitted products will not be returned,
entrants are advised to keep backups for themselves. Products can be
submitted in DVD disc (Mpeg2) format.

The
Organizers will announce the winners name and display the
products through the newspapers, websites and electronic media.
7. Submission Methods
Products
can be directly submitted to the Organizers of “Exposing the
Museums in Macao” Digital Videography Competition. Below please

Products
should be put in a sealed envelope, enclosing another sealed envelope
with the following register information inside:
- Title
and length of the film
- Brief
written introduction about the content
- Entrants’
names and ID number
- Entrants’
contact number, mailing address and email address
For
impartiality, any information about the entrants should not be shown
on any part of the products.
8. Jury
The
jury will be formed with local or foreign experienced photographer,
film TV and culture professionals. Members of the jury are not
allowed to participate in the competition.
9. Supplementary Provisions
- The
Organizers of “Exposing the Museums in Macao” Digital
Videography Competition have the right to use the award-winning
products for all purposes included publicity making, broadcasting,
editing and authorizing other persons or organizations to use the
products for non-commercial purpose. Winners cannot raise any
objection or ask for any reward.
- Original
requirement: Products should be shot and made originally by the
entrants originally. The entrants should be the copyright owners.
The Organizers decline all responsibility for any dispute about the
copyright of the products.
- No
entry fee is charged. The Organizers have the right to display all
the submitted products on specify TV stations and websites. For the
products which are not up to specification, in poor quality or
fuzzy, the Organizers can deny to accept or display them.
Award-winning products will be broadcasted gratuitously on all kinds
of public media for all purposes while entrants cannot have any
objection.
- One
entrant cannot gain more than one prize of the top-three place. Each
entrant can only have two chances of gaining the Distinction.
- If
none of the submitted products meet the specifications laid down by
the jury, the Organizers have the right to withhold the relevant
prizes.
- The
Organizers decline all responsibility for the violations of the
entrants rights done by a third party. Also, the Organizers will not
bear any responsibility for the loss, delay and misaddressing of the
products and any damages caused during mail delivery.
- When
the management and safety, justice, integrity or the normal
operation of the competition is affected or harmed due to
uncontrollable factors, the Organizers reserve the right to
disqualify the entrants who harm the process of the competition.
- If
there is any objection to the products, the potential recipients of
prizes should present evidences of their connection with the
award-winning products to the Organizers.
- The
Organizers of “Exposing the Museums in Macao” Digital
Videography Competition reserve the right of final
interpretation.
- If
there is any faultiness in the Regulations, the Organizers can amend
it at any time.
